Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has suffered a torn ACL injury in his left knee and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Mahomes suffered the serious injury in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers that effectively ruled out the Chiefs out of contention to make the playoffs.
The three time Super bowl Champion was pictured being helped to the locker room after the game and an MRI scan confirmed the injury. Reacting to the news of the injury, Patrick Mahomes wrote on his X page,
“Don’t know why this had to happen and not going to lie, [it] hurts but all we can do now is [trust] in God and attack every single day over and over again.”

“Thank you, Chiefs kingdom, for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I [will] be back stronger than ever.”

The 30 year old has won the NFL Most Valuable Player Award title twice and has thrown for 3,587 yards for 22 touchdowns this season. He has also thrown 11 interceptions.
