Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen says his team is far from timid as the Super Eagles prepare to play against Morocco in the 2025 AFCON semifinals.
The competition which is taking place in the above mentioned North African nation had Nigeria beat Algeria 2-0 in the quarterfinals to set up the big game on Wednesday, January 14. Morocco beat Cameroon 2-0 in its quarterfinal game.
Osimhen played a big role in the win over Algeria by scoring via a header and setting up strike partner Akor Adams for Nigeria’s second. His fine performance earned him the Man of the Match Award.
Speaking after beating Algeria, Osimhen praised the efforts of his team and added that Nigeria will be ready to take on the host nation in midweek.
“We prepared well for this game and I’m so happy about the team’s performance.”

“We are going to play against the hosts and we know how they are, we know they have a lot of quality players but I don’t think we are the kind of team that is timid” Osimhen said to CAF.
