Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has got his career at Manchester City off to a brilliant start as he played a lead role in Man City’s demolition of Exeter City in the FA Cup.

Man City hammered Exeter 10-1 in the fourth round of the competition with Semenyo starting in the contest a day after his transfer from AFC Bournemouth was officially confirmed on Friday, January 9.

Semenyo moved from Bournemouth to City on a 64 million pound five and a half year deal and in his first game, Semenyo scored a goal and added an assist in 64 minutes of game time.

The 26 year old scored Man City’s sixth goal in the 54th minute and assisted Rico Lewis for Man City’s fifth in the 49th minute.

In a post-game presser, Man City assistant Pep Lijnders reiterated Semenyo’s qualities that got the club to be interested in him stating to the club’s media that,

“We followed him-Antoine Semenyo- for a long time and he brings something to the front line we need. He wants to chase, he doesn’t stop. He can adapt quickly to our style so it’s nice to have him with us.”
