Evelyn Nsiah- Asare, CEO of Hasaacas Ladies, has cautioned the Black Queens’ to avoid underestimating any opponent in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament, scheduled to be hosted in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, will have16 teams compete in the tournament for the first time. The Black Queens won bronze at the 2024 Women’s AFCON.

Ghana finds itself in Group D with Cameroon, Mali and Cape Verde, but Nsiah Asare is confident in the Black Queens’ qualification chances under head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren but preached against complacency.

“It’s an exciting draw, but if you don’t take care, when you are playing a team who doesn’t know how to play, that is when, you will suffer. They will not allow you to also play your plan.”

Hasaacas Ladies CEO Evelyn Nsiah Asare

“I believe that the formation that this coach has been playing is good. I know they will, they will go far. I know so many people do not know the history behind Ghana Black Queens. They have been to the World Cup, I think, third or four times. So this year, we have to go for the trophy for the first time” she told Citi Sports.
