Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has fingered attitudinal shift as the biggest difference in Albert Amoah’s play since returning to Kotoko.

Amoah starred for Kotoko at the start of the 2025-2026 season before moving to Libyan side Al-Ahly Benghazi. However, after a three month stint, Amoah has returned to the Porcupine Warriors.

Former Accra Great Olympics player, Amoah, announced his return in brilliant fashion by scoring an acrobatic goal in Kotoko’s 3-0 win over Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium. Scroll down to watch video.

The win ended Kotoko’s poor run that had the team record two draws and a 2-1 loss to Swedru All-Blacks and Karim Zito addressed Amoah’s return stating,

“Approach, his attitude has changed, the attitude change. When you go to play abroad, certain things will force you to change your attitude and that is money.”

“If you don’t do it, they will deduct it. What they normally do is they deduct money because they pay you more so the approach to the game is quite different even though it’s the same Amoah we all know” Zito said.
