Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club forward Albert Amoah says his return to the club is to complete “unfinished business”.
Amoah made this known in an interview with the club’s media on his return to the club after a brief loan at Libyan club Al-Ahli Benghazi.
His transfer sparked serious public backlash as Amoah left Kotoko immediately after losing 5-1 to Morocco side Wydad Athletic Club to crash out of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kotoko have since struggled to score goals amid a poor run of form that has had the club draw goalless with Berekum Chelsea and Bibiani Gold Stars and lose 2-1 to Swedru All Blacks.
Speaking in his first official interview on his return to the club, Amoah disclosed the motivation behind his return stating,

“I decided I wanted to come back to Kotoko so that I would finish everything that I started. It’s part [the desire to win the league]…so I decided to come back so that we can work hard and claim it.”

“It’s not over [the league title chase] there are more matches to play. I think we are going to work very hard to make it to the top…I am really happy to be here so that we work as a team to achieve what we want.”

Amoah is in line to play in Kotoko’s game against Basake Holy Stars on Sunday, January 25.
