Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says he will be happy to have Mohamed Salah back in the Liverpool fold as the Egyptian prepares to see out the Pharoahs campaign at the 2025 AFCON.
Salah has starred for Egypt in the competition scoring four goals ahead of the North African country’s bronze medal game against Nigeria on Saturday, January 17 at 16:00 GMT.
Prior to his departure to the AFCON, Salah and the club were caught up in a huge controversy when Salah slammed Liverpool for throwing him under the bus after not getting picked to play certain games.
“First of all, he plays a big game for Egypt on Saturday and then he comes back to us. I am happy he comes back. Mo has been so important for this club and me, so I am happy he is back.”

“Even if I had 15 attackers, I would be happy to see Mo back but that is not our situation” Slot said.

Liverpool take on Burnley on Saturday, January 17.
