Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed his disappointment over his team’s inability to beat Berekum Chelsea.
He expressed this disappointment in a post-game presser after Kotoko’s goalless draw with Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko squandered a handful of chances including a miss from striker Kwame Opoku late on in the game against the 16th ranked Berekum Chelsea.
Failing to beat Berekum Chelsea sees Kotoko ranked fourth in the league standings with 31 points; the Porcupine Warriors trail leaders Medeama SC by six points and Karim Zito isn’t happy about this development.
“I am disappointed in my boys because all this week…we did a lot of finishing [in training].”

“Unfortunately, they-the players-were not focused so I don’t buy this result seriously I don’t buy this result but it should not disappoint me that we should stop fighting.”

“From one to fifth, anybody can win the league and that doesn’t mean we will not lose but not at your home. It’s very disappointing when you lose at home than you lose away games so seriously I am not happy” Zito said.
Kotoko take on defending league champions Bibiani Gold Stars next on Sunday, January 18.
