Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has indicated that he isn’t too bothered about his team’s strikers not scoring goals in recent weeks.

He indicated this in a post-game interview after Medeama beat Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 at the TNA Stadium with former Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams scoring the winning goal.

The win solidified Medeama’s lead at the top of the standings; Medeama lead the standings with 34 points, two more than second ranked Bibiani Gold Stars.

Speaking after the win, Tanko shared that he was happy with the win but delivered a nonchalant response to a question regarding his team’s strikers not scoring as many as they should.

“No. I think we are a team if the defenders score the goals for us to get what we want.”

“Our midfielders [with] how we play, definitely they we will have a chance, if they make use of it, definitely they will score more goals” Tanko said.
