Gabriel Jesus starred in Arsenal’s latest win in the group phase of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League campaign.
Arsenal beat Inter Milan 3-1 at the San Siro in Italy with Jesus scoring twice and Viktor Gyokeres coming off the bench to add the third goal with a fine finish.
Gabriel Jesus’ brace marked another milestone in his recovery to his best form after sitting out for almost a full year due to a knee injury.
The Brazilian forward’s fine performance was rewarded with the Man of the Match Award as Arsenal secured its seventh win in seven games in the competition.
In an interview with Amazon Prime after the game, Gabriel Jesus noted that he had been looking forward to an occasion like this by stating,

“It’s a dream night. I always dreamed of being a footballer. I watched when I was a kid. I watched a lot of Serie A, so to be here in this stadium and score here is tears in my eyes because I always dreamed of being here.”

“There is always a reason that things happen even whether it’s good things or difficult things. I learned that during my 11 months out of the field. I am not a kid anymore, I am 28, so I understand football.”
