Head coach of newly promoted Techiman Eleven Wonders, Emmanuel Aidoo, says his side will remain focused despite securing only their second win of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The victory, which comes at the start of the second round of the campaign after beating Basake Holy stars 2-0, lifts Eleven Wonders to nine points and offers fresh hope in their battle to avoid relegation.

The first round of the league ended with Medeama SC leading the table, followed by Bibiani GoldStars, Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking after the match, Aidoo admitted the result was a morale booster but warned against complacency.

“It feels great, but we still need to work more. We are not going to get swollen-headed because of this win,” he said.
“There are more hurdles to clear. Of course, we are excited, but the work continues.

The coach acknowledged that his side had to battle hard for the points, especially after a difficult first half.

“The first half was for them and they couldn’t make use of their chances,” Aidoo explained.
“In the second half, we also took over. In football, you need to take your chances – that’s all.”

Despite the win, Techiman Eleven Wonders remain bottom of the league table in 18th place. However, Aidoo insists the objective for the season is clear.

“We are on a rescue mission,” he said.
“The slogan is oppression – we need to rescue. Everybody is aware of it. The mission is to escape relegation.”

With nine points now on the board, the coach believes this result could serve as the spark his side needs to turn their season around as the second half of the campaign begins.
