Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has officially confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of this season while providing a big update on the future of Palace defender Marc Guehi.
Guehi has been heavily linked with a move from the club to Manchester City in recent weeks and according to Glasner, the deal is in the final stages.
Glasner made this known in a press conference ahead of the club’s league tie against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, January 17.
Guehi’s contract comes to an end once this season concludes but Man City are pushing to sign him to improve its largely underperforming defense by the close of this month.
“I told Steve [Parish, Palace co-owner] and I am looking for a new challenge. That is my feeling after everything.”

“I told him in October. Latest understanding, the deal with Marc is in the final stages. We can’t confirm, but it is not done. The result is Marc doesn’t play tomorrow for us.”

“When the players want to move on a deal will happen. It looks like it has happened now” Glasner said according to the BBC.
