Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has highlighted the importance of having the sports fund bill passed and the enormous potential it can have as a significant contributor to Ghana’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

“Legislation alone does not finance sports, commitment does. “The Ghana Sports Fund provides us that system. It creates a transparent and accountable framework to support infrastructural development, school and grass root sports, elite athlete preparation welfare systems and recreation.”
