The top goal scorer in the Saudi Pro League Ivan Toney has shared that he wishes to play for England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

England have been drawn in Group L at the World Cup alongside Ghana, Panama and Croatia; Ghana and Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has stated that the Black Stars are looking forward to an “exciting” England challenge. (Scroll down to read full story)

29 year old Toney, who is a former Brentford player but plays for Al-Ahli in the Saudi League, leads the league in goals with 20, two more than Cristiano Ronaldo, and is eyeing the chance to be picked by England manager Thomas Tuchel for the World Cup.

“It would be a dream to play there. Everybody dreams of that, and imagine if we were to win the World Cup?”

“That would be for the country. You have these little visions of what could happen, these kind of things. If it was to come true, it would be a big blessing.”
