Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) today, February 16, 2026, announced the launch of its first-ever youth football tournament on the African continent, the ‘Roc Cup.’

The landmark event, set to take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra from 23-28 February 2026, is a flagship moment following RNSI’s recent expansion into the African football market.

The Roc Cup will bring together 10 elite youth teams from across five African nations – Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea – to compete in a round robin format.

The tournament is a core component of RNSI’s long-term commitment to authentic presence, meaningful community impact, and establishing credible pathways for young African talent.

“The Roc Cup is more than just a tournament; it is a visible declaration of our commitment to African football,” said Grant Veitch, Director of African Football Recruitment at Roc Nation Sports International.

“After signing several incredible teenage talents last year, we are solidifying our investment by hosting this special event. We aim to inspire local communities and to hopefully provide a genuine European pathway for the continent’s brightest emerging stars.”

Participating Teams

  • Benab FC – Ghana
  • Tripple 44 FC – Nigeria
  • Sporting Lagos – Nigeria
  • Zilina Africa – Ghana
  • Empire FC – Côte d’Ivoire
  • Fadama Field Masters – Ghana
  • Semper Fi – Ghana
  • Racing Club d’Abidjan – Côte d’Ivoire
  • SOAR Academy – Guinea
  • Kadji Sports Academy – Cameroon

To ensure accessibility for everyone, entrance to all matches at the 10,000-capacity University of Ghana Sports Stadium will be completely free to the public, welcoming families, students, and young footballers across Accra.

By bringing elite African academies to the capital, RNSI aims to create a vibrant football atmosphere that inspires young players and celebrates local culture.

Beyond the pitch, the event will support the surrounding area by involving local volunteers and creating activity for small vendors and businesses.

The Roc Cup also aims to serve as a vital European Pathway, showcasing the continent’s brightest emerging talent in a competitive environment where players can be identified by international and African scouts attending the event.

The long-term vision is to create a sustainable, annual tournament that becomes a central part of the African youth football calendar.
