Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has stated that despite the club’s lead atop the English Premier League standings shrinking, the Gunners are still in a great position to win the title.
He made these comments after Arsenal drew 1-1 with Brentford at the G-Tech Community Stadium; the result means that Mikel Arteta’s team has 57 points with 12 games left to play in the season while second ranked Manchester City have 54 points.
England winger Noni Madueke put Arsenal in the lead in the 61st minute but Keane Lewis-Potter equalized 10 minutes later and Raya called for his team to stick together after the frustrating draw.
“Disappointed with just a point. We stick together. It’s a tough place to come but we just have to stick together and we are still in a great position and we go again. We dealt with it very well and scored the goal in the second half.”

“I thought that was going to be enough but they played dangerous on set pieces and we conceded. We had the chances to win the game but we didn’t maximise them. We are still in a great position. We have to focus on ourselves” Raya said to TNT Sports.
