Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has described his club’s 1-0 win over Leeds United at Elland Road in the English Premier League as a “big one“.
Semenyo shared this description in an interview with the BBC after scoring the winning goal for Man City. This was Semenyo’s 14th league goal of the 2025-2026 season further cementing his legacy as the Ghanaian player with the most goals in an EPL season.
The former AFC Bournemouth player run into the box to meet Rayan Ait-Nouri’s fizzing cross and steer the ball into the net in the final minute of added-on time in the first half.
The win means that City have reduced Arsenal’s lead over Pep Guardiola’s team to two points ahead of Arsenal’s London derby clash against Chelsea on Sunday, March 1.

“Definitely a big one. Every game is a big one until the end of the season. We just want to win as many as we can and keep the pressure on. They made it tough, lots of crosses. They have a lot of guys who are good in the box good aerially” Semenyo said.

Man City have played a game fewer than Arsenal beyond the Gunner’s upcoming clash against Chelsea.
