Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has stated that his club has no excuse to not improve on its woeful performance against Kpando Heart of Lions in its upcoming game in the MTN FA Cup.

Kotoko lost 3-1 to Lions in the Ghana Premier League and are set to take on Aduana in the FA Cup on Sunday, February 8 in the round of 16 stage.

The Porcupine Warriors are the defending FA Cup champions but have largely struggled this season and Zito is hoping the club can use the FA Cup to get back on track.

“I told them-my players-we don’t have any excuse against Aduana. We should do the amendment and improve on the match we played against Heart of Lions.”

“We have to change the mindset, we have to put it behind and then come out and fight to prove that we are really the defending champions” Zito said.
