Public Relations Officer of Swedru All Blacks, Nathaniel Obeng, has shed light on the club’s decision to part ways with Ahmed Fathi and replace him with Kassim Ocansey Mingle.

Aside health related reasons, Obeng stated in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports that the club’s need for an experienced and strong technical hand led to the decision to appoint Kassim Mingle as the club’s head coach.

Mingle replaced Fathi recently and All Blacks lost 1-0 to Bibiani Gold Stars in Mingle’s first game as All Blacks head coach but Obeng believes Mingle fits the coaching profile the club needed.

“As a traditional club on a journey to rewrite our history, rebrand and reposition the brand, we needed certain experienced and strong hands to take over the technical department of the club. We believe that he-Mingle-has good experience, good qualifications to handle the team. We believe that with his experience and tactical prowess, he will be the best fit to replace Fathi.”

“Though we lost [against Gold Stars], there were huge positives that we can build upon it and we are optimistic that Kassim Mingle will be able to take us to the level that all of us are looking for” Obeng said.
