Interim head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Prince Owusu says winning his first game in charge of the club means a lot to him.

He shared this feeling after Kotoko beat Young Apostles 2-0 in Wenchi in the Ghana Premier League after losing 1-0 to arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the previous round.

Owusu stepped up from his role as Kotoko assistant head coach to the main role following Abdul Karim Zito’s resignation from the position.

“It means a lot. This is my first win; definitely make people recognize what I can do. There was pressure (after the Hearts loss) the players felt it so we tried to talk to them to forget about the pressure and thn concentrate on the formation that we wanted to play and they listened to us and it worked perfectly today for us” Owusu said.
