Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reveling in his team’s progression to the Carabao Cup final after beating London rivals Chelsea to do so.

The Gunners beat Chelsea 1-0 in the second leg of the semifinal clash at the Emirates Stadium to qualify to the final game on a 4-2 aggregate win.

Former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz scored the winner in the 96th minute as the game looked set to end goalless.

On his part, Chelsea head Liam Rosenoir, stated that he was proud of the fight his players showed in the loss. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

However, for Mikel Arteta, qualifying to the Carabao Cup final in front of Arsenal’s home fans was something he enjoyed very much.

“Did I enjoy it? Very much – especially at the end. We knew it was going to be a real battle out there. That resilience, that clarity to understand what kind of game we had to play…we did that so well.”

“There was a special atmosphere inside our stadium. It makes such a difference” he said to ITV1.
