Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenoir says he cannot fault the fight from his players in a 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the second leg of the semifinals of the 2025-2026 Carabao Cup.
The loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium eliminated Chelsea from the competition via a 4-2 loss on aggregate after Arsenal picked up a 3-2 in the first leg.
Former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz returned to haunt his old team by latching on to a pass from Declan Rice on a counter attack to round up goalkeeper Robert Sanchez and slot the ball into an empty net in the 96th minute.
Speaking to ITV1 after recording his second loss in eight games since becoming Chelsea head coach, Liam Rosenoir indicated that he was proud of his players.
“We dominated the areas we wanted to in the second half, but we didn’t find that quality moment.”

“Yes, it’s painful to lose – you want to go through. We just need to keep making improvements – which I’m seeing.”

“I cannot fault the application, intensity or the fight of the players” Rosenoir said.
