Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has stated that the team’s focus is to maintain pressure on league leaders Medeama as its heads into its major clash against archrivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Hearts take on Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, February 15; Kotoko rank fifth in the league while Hearts rank fourth with 36 points and have amassed one more point than the Porcupine Warriors.

On the other hand, Tarkwa-based Medeama SC lead the league with 43 points but Didi Dramani is aiming at winning maximum points to keep the Phobians pressure on the Mauve and Yellow.

“Matches involving Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, devoid of the standards, everybody knows the importance of it and more importantly, we want to keep the pressure on the league leaders and so the points at stake is so so important to us.”

“We are very focused in terms of what to do in order to be able to achieve that standard of gaining three points” Didi Dramani said to the club’s media ahead of the game.

Earlier this week, Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito resigned from his role after a poor run of results and has since been replaced by Prince Yaw Owusu.
