Vision FC delivered a disciplined and spirited display to secure a goalless draw against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, despite playing the final stages with ten men.

The visitors were dealt a major blow in the 69th minute when Mohammed Awudu was shown a second yellow card for halting a counterattack.

Reduced in numbers, Vision retreated into a compact defensive shape, committing bodies behind the ball to frustrate the Porcupine Warriors.

Goalkeeper Godwin Ametefe proved instrumental in preserving the point, producing a series of key saves in the first half to keep Kotoko at bay.

The hosts dominated possession with 60 per cent and fashioned the clearer opportunities, but their finishing let them down.

Kotoko registered nine shots on target and eight off target, while Vision, despite their numerical disadvantage, managed seven efforts on target and three off target in a determined attacking response.

The result will feel like two points dropped for Kotoko as they continue their chase for the top spot. They remain fourth on the table, now seven points adrift of the league leaders.

For Vision FC, however, the hard-earned point strengthens their push for survival, moving them further clear of the relegation zone as the battle intensifies.
