Black stars forward Antoine Semenyo has been named Premier League Player of the Month for February following a sensational start to life at Manchester City.
The Black Stars international made an instant impact in his first full month at the Etihad Stadium, scoring three goals and providing one assist in just five matches.
“This is a brilliant moment for me,” Semenyo said. “To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget. It’s been such an amazing start to life at this club. I am learning so much every day and I honestly feel I am already a better player.”

He added: “I have been made to feel welcome from day one, which means I’ve been able to stay focused on the pitch and do my best. My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for, and I’m really excited about this final period of the season.”
Semenyo’s goals in February included a clinical left-footed finish in the 2-2 draw at Tottenham, an instinctive strike and slide-rule pass assist in a 3-0 win over Fulham, and a poacher’s goal in a crucial 1-0 victory at Leeds.

His performances have helped Manchester City remain unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games.
The Ghanaian now has 15 goals in the Premier League this season, trailing only Erling Haaland (22) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (18) in the scoring charts.

Semenyo is the second City player to claim the award this season, after Haaland in September, overcoming competition from the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Dango Ouattara, Benjamin Sesko, Virgil van Dijk, and teammate Nico O’Reilly, who was recently voted Etihad Player of the Month by City fans.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work, support, and faith I’ve received from everyone at Manchester City,” Semenyo said. “I’m ready to keep pushing and contributing to the team as we aim for success this season.”
