The Spanish international scored the winner in Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Bilbao at the San Mames in a very tough game with the win maintaining Barca’s four point lead atop the Spanish La Liga standings.
After scoring the first hat-trick in his professional football career recently, Yamal scored his 14th league goal of the 2025-2026 season to get the win over Bilbao by bending the ball into the top corner of the net in the 69th minute leading Barca head coach Hansi Flick to state,
“I am proud of them…this special atmosphere- how they stand together, the environment, everything is fantastic. He-Lamine Yamal-didn’t have his best game but his goal decided it. When has space, opportunities…he trains a lot. It’s good that he can solve the game in a situation.”
Barcelona take on Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 stage on Tuesday, March 10.
