Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has described his team’s win at Newcastle United’s home venue as the best in his decade long tenure at the club.
City beat Newcastle 3-1 with Omar Marmoush scoring twice at St. James’ Park to get Pep Guardiola’s side the win in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Man City featured an extensively rotated squad and had to endure a tough opening phase of the first half before stepping up in the second half leading Guardiola to term the win as the best in his time as manager.
“This is the best performance we have played in this stadium since my decade here. That is consistency and that is why I am proud.”

“I am happy for him-John Stones- for a long time he was injured, and he needs time to do his best. He was the captain today and he deserves it” Guardiola said according to the BBC.

Man City take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 stage next.
