In response to getting omitted from the squad that hurts his chances of playing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and his fourth World Cup overall, Neymar delivered a defiant tone stating according to Fabrizio Romano that,
“I’m upset, sad, about not being called up but the focus remains day after day, training after training, game after game.”

“We’re going to achieve our goal. There’s still one final call-up left and the dream lives on. That’s it, we’re in this together.”

At the 2026 World Cup, Brazil have been drawn Group C with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland.
