Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku is confident the Black Stars will deliver a strong performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and rewrite Ghana’s “story”.

He made the remarks during his address at a fundraising event aimed at mobilising resources for Ghana’s World Cup campaign.

The event was headlined by President John Dramani Mahama and attended by Sports Minister Kofi Adams and Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Nyarko Ampem.

Musicians Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy announced pledges of $100,000 and $80,000 to the fund that is primarily set up to send supporters to the USA, Canada, and Mexico to support the Black Stars at the World Cup. (Click highlighted text to watch video)

Speaking at the event, Kurt Okraku said, “Today, we are very confident that the intangible assets that we have produced over time, the intangible assets that have been put together by coach [Otto] Addo and his team, we will make Ghana proud.”
