Semenyo featured for 70 minutes in Man City’s 3-0 loss to Real Madrid in Spain that puts the English Premier League club’s chances of qualifying to the quarterfinals under serious threat.
In an interview with Hayters TV, the former AFC Bournemouth sounded confident about City’s qualification chances while reflecting on his journey from playing non-league football to the UEFA Champions League.
“100% I feel like we can turn it-the deficit- around. We’ve got a lot of experienced lads they know what it feels like being 3-0 down or losing in the first leg so just going off them and we just need to have a reset button and make sure we play well.”

“It’s surreal-making my Champions League debut- but you also have to be sharp as well as a player. I’m learning on the go and I have to keep on my toes no matter what. It’s just great being around world class players and it’s only making me better” Semenyo said.

In the 2025-2026 season, Semenyo has 15 goals and four assists in 28 English Premier League games.
🎥 Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has become only the second player to rise from non-league football through all four professional divisions in England before appearing in the UEFA Champions League.
