Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has reflected on his team’s 3-0 loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 stage first leg with regret.[Scroll down to watch video]
In a game that had the Black Stars player make his debut in the Champions League, City got hammered by the competition’s record winners ahead of the second leg on Tuesday, March 17 in England.
In an interview with Hayters TV after the loss, Semenyo reflected on his journey from competing in non-league football to Europe’s premier football tournament where he described the experience as surreal. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“They-Real Madrid- had their moments, they kept the ball really well and exploited the bit of space that we had in the middle of the park so it’s obviously a bit tough but again, that happens. It’s a tough team and if you give them a chance they will take it” Semenyo said.

Semenyo joined City from AFC Bournemouth in January.
