Chelsea winger Pedro Neto apologised for his actions towards a ball boy in the team’s game against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc De Princes.
Neto featured in Chelsea’s 5-2 loss to the French side in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 stage tie that had Kvicha Kvaratskhelia score twice.
Aside conceding three goals in 17 minutes late in the game, Chelsea’s Pedro Neto pushed a ball boy while trying to restart the game quickly.
The incident drew comparison to a similar incident that happened in the English Premier League involving Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.
After the game, Portuguese winger Pedro Neto revealed that he had apologized to the ball boy for his actions stating,

“I want to apologise to the ball boy. I have already spoken to him. We were losing and in the emotion of the game, I wanted to get the ball fast and I gave him a little push.”

“I’m not like this, it was in the heat of the moment and I want to apologise. I gave him my shirt. I’m really sorry about it, I feel I have to apologise to him. At the end he [the ball boy] laughed and I gave him my shirt and said sorry about 35 times.”
