Chelsea FC were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League in emphatic fashion at the hands of the defending champions.
The London club lost 3-0 to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the second leg of the round of 16 stage contest to exit the tournament via an 8-2 loss on aggregate.
A fast start that had PSG score twice in the first 15 minutes of the game put the contest beyond Chelsea and speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior pointed to PSG’s efficiency in front of goal as the difference.
“A tough night. We knew it was a tough ask and to start the game in the manner that we did. We had the ball in the final third; you can’t make mistakes at this level. They were clinical.”

“The third goal, ball breaks and he hits in the top corner. I haven’t looked at the stats yet, but we had a lot of shots. They didn’t make mistakes. I want to thank the fans because they saw how hard the lads worked” Rosenior said.
