Morocco National Men’s Football head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has stated that Africa’s football governing body (CAF) did what needed to be done in connection to the continental body’s decision to name Morocco as winners of the 2025 AFCON after taking the title from Senegal.
Earlier this week, CAF ruled that Senegal’s behaviour during the 2025 AFCON passed for forfeiture of the game and ruling that Morocco had been awarded a 3-0 win and the 2025 AFCON title despite Senegal beating Morocco 1-0 to win the title.
Senegal have stated their desire to appeal the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) citing unfair treatment by CAF.
Ouahbi replaced Walid Regragui as Morocco’s head coach after the AFCON Final and has named his squad ahead of friendly games against Ecuador and Paraguay on March 27 and March 31. (Scroll down to view the full squad list)

Speaking at a presser after naming his squad, Ouahbi addressed the controversial issue according to Le 360FR by stating,

“CAF and our Federation have done what needed to be done. As for me, I take care of the sporting side. The most important thing is to look ahead” Ouahbi said.
