Hohoe United FC has been given an ultimatum by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to respond to charges over their withdrawal from the Ghana Premier League, with a deadline set for Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

The Volta Region side, competing in their debut top-flight season after promotion for 2025/26, are alleged to have breached Articles 13(1) and 34(6)(d) of league regulations.

In a statement released, the GFA claims that Hohoe United withdrew without just cause, actions that it says have brought the game into disrepute.

The charges follow the club’s decision earlier this month to pull out, citing “systemic unfairness, procedural manipulation and apparent bias” in the league’s administration.

Hohoe United had raised concerns over disciplinary sanctions, including a three-match home ban and fines, as well as questionable officiating and venue issues they believe affected their campaign.
