This year’s World Cup takes place in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico with Ghana in Group L alongside Panama, Croatia and England.
Former Colombia, Iran and Egypt head coach Carlos Queiroz, was named Black Stars head coach earlier this week after Otto Addo was sacked from the role following a poor run of results.
After slamming Otto Addo for omitting him from the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Paintsil went on to state his desire to see Carlos Queiroz pick the best players for the Black Stars. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I always need to respect the call up of the national team, I’m playing for the people of Ghana not for an individual person. I’m always going to represent my country…I’m just doing it for Ghanaians to know my worth and to know that I can also deliver whenever I get the chance.”

“We are just hoping and praying that the new coach will do the needful…to take the best players to the World Cup to perform and to make Ghanaians proud” Paintsil said to VamosNetwork.
