Philadelphia Sixers forward Paul George says his team has to be ready to challenge the Boston Celtics as Philadelphia prepare to take on the 2024 NBA Champions.
In a post-game interview after Sixers’ 109-97 win over the Orlando Magic to qualify to the NBA playoffs as the seventh seed, George spoke highly of the Celtics’ quality and the team’s ability to play their best basketball in the postseason and called on his team to challenge those qualities.
“We’re playing against winners. We’re playing against champions. This is where they play their best basketball. We respect that. We’re going to have to challenge that.”
“Great coach, great roster, two studs, superstars [Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum] over there. And just a ton of just guys that just know how to play the right way. So it’s going to be a challenge. We just got to be ready for it” Paul George said according to ESPN.

In the playoffs clinching win over the Magic, George registered 16 points, five rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes.

Game One of the best of seven game first round playoff series against Boston Celtics tips off on Sunday, April 19 at 17:00 GMT.
