Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has issued a strong warning ahead of the Premier League title race showdown.

Speaking before Sunday’s clash against Arsenal, Guardiola admitted his side cannot afford to lose, with the result likely to have a major impact on the title race.

City currently trail Arsenal by six points, albeit with a game in hand, making this weekend’s encounter crucial to their hopes of securing the 2025–2026 league title.

Addressing the media in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola also revealed that his team will adopt a different approach, insisting they will not play the same way they did in their 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

“Yes, obviously. If we lose, it is over. If you could buy confidence in a supermarket we would buy it immediately. It is one of the most important aspects.”

“The reality is, there are seven games left in the Premier League and that is the decisive moment. We are going to change again. I am going to tell you now what we are going to do” Pep Guardiola said.
