The San Antonio Spurs are a win away from progressing to the second round of the NBA Playoffs after bagging an important win in Game 4 of their best of seven game series against the Portland Trailblazers.
San Antonio beat Portland 114-93 to establish a 3-1 series lead on the back of a brilliant performance from Victor Wembanyama who returned to action after missing Game 3 due to a concussion he picked after five minutes in Game 2.
The French star powered Spurs to victory with 27 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocked shot in 34 minutes. Teammate De’Aaron Fox chipped in 28 points and seven assists.
Speaking after the game, Wenbanyama wasn’t pleased about his absence from Game 3 when he didn’t get cleared to play due to the NBA’s concussion protocols.

“It’s special, obviously. I had lots of emotions in me before the game, obviously, excitement, frustration. So, I let it all out today.”

“The way the situation was handled was very disappointing. Not on the Spurs but… I won’t get into details” Wembanyama said.

Game 5 is on Wednesday, April 29 in San Antonio.
