For the seventh time since entering the NBA, Zion Williamson will not feature in the playoffs after the New Orleans Pelicans wrapped up their 2025- 2026 regular season.

The Pelicans fell 132 to 126 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with a 26- 56 record to place 11th in the Western Conference standings.

Williamson, the 6-foot-6 power forward, played 62 games, his second highest tally in a season, averaging 21 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in just under 30 minutes per game.

Despite his improved availability and solid numbers, the Pelicans once again missed out on the postseason. Williamson has since pledged to make significant changes in the offseason as he looks to turn things around.

“I’m looking to take a different approach because it’s frustrating getting up here every year and not being in the playoffs — and I I’ll take my responsibility in that. I definitely hold myself accountable.”
