Manchester United assistant head coach Steve Holland says the club must target more than just qualification for the UEFA Champions League.

His comments come with Manchester United sitting third in the English Premier League, holding a slim one-point lead over fourth-placed Aston Villa with seven games remaining.

The Red Devils face Leeds United on Monday, April 13, before a crucial showdown against Chelsea FC on Saturday, April 18.

Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of what he described as an “important week,” Holland urged his side to push for greater success rather than settling for a top-four finish.

“I think the language we should be using as this club is to finish as close as we possibly can to the top.”

“We’ve been speaking more to the players really about winning our matches, rather than thinking too much about what’s happening below.”

“To finish in the Champions League places would be a good situation for us, but I think always we should be looking for more than that” Holland said.
