Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise says his side showed resilience to edge Real Madrid and book a place in the semifinals of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League.

The German giants secured a 4-3 win at home to progress 6-4 on aggregate in a pulsating contest that saw the lead change hands several times. Bayern Munich will now face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals.

Olise, who was named Man of the Match, struck the decisive goal with a composed curling finish on the counterattack to seal Bayern’s progression. Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, he underlined the intensity of the encounter, saying,

“Good match, back and forth. We knew they would come and try to come back. At first it was a bit like goal, goal, goal but eventually when it calmed down we played a bit better in the second half and we took our chances.”

“We showed good resilience to keep coming back. In the end it was a result we’re happy with.”
