Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka says the team’s qualification to the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League Final is a “beautiful story”. He said this after scoring the winning goal in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.
The win in the second leg of the semifinal clash gave Arsenal a 2-1 advantage on aggregate and progression to the final of the competition for only the second time in the club’s history.
Saka reacted fastest to a rebound to tuck the ball into the net in the first half and in an interview with Amazon Prime, the England player was delighted with the Gunners extending their unbeaten run in the competition further.
“Yes, we’re so happy. Easier said than done. This game was a high-pressure game. It means a lot to both sides. We managed to manage it well, and take ourselves to the final.”

“There is no way you are going to come to this position and not have pressure. How can you not expect people to talk about you and criticise you?”

“That’s why we have got to block it out. It is a beautiful story and I hope it ends well in Budapest” Saka said.
