Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko said the club’s impressive win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko was in the past as he previewed his team’s big clash against Bibiani Gold Stars.
Medeama hammered Kotoko 4-0 in the Ghana Premier League before losing 3-2 to Dreams FC in the MTN FA Cup semifinals ahead of the game against Gold Stars.
Defending league champions Gold Stars lead the standings with 53 points, two more than second-ranked Medeama, in the lead up to the game on Sunday, May 3 at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa.
“It was a very good win [over Kotoko] for us especially at this crucial moment but I think that game is past tense and we have to concentrate on the next game which is very tough against a direct opponent who we have two points ahead of.”

“Definitely, this is going to be a very different game altogether but I think we are prepared for it” Tanko said.

Medeama’s Black Galaxies contingent, led by midfielder Salim Adams, has returned to the club ahead of this weekend’s game.
