Ghana is the lowest ranked African nation (73rd) at this year’s tournament trailing the likes of Morocco (ranked seventh in the world) and Senegal (ranked 14th in the world).
The Black Stars will compete at the group stage in Group L with England, Panama and Croatia and recently played out a 1-1 draw with Wales in a friendly contest.
Speaking to FIFA regarding Ghana’s chances at the World Cup, Semenyo was sure the Black Stars talent pool would power the team to achieve big things in the competition.
“There’s so many positions that we’ve got covered.”

“There’s so much talent in there and I feel like when we do come together, it’s a special group and just endless talent and I feel like we can shock a lot of nations and we just need to prove to the world you can be up there and compete with everyone else” Semenyo said.

The Manchester City player competed at the 2022 World Cup.

“There was a lot of talent in the previous team, but now we have it in abundance in every position.”
