Amoah lowered his personal best time after winning the 100 Metre Men’s event at the Royal City Inferno in Ontario, Canada. Amoah is in line to represent Ghana at this year’s Commonwealth Games.
American sprinter Lance Lang finished in second place after running a time of 10.07 seconds while Canadian sprinter Malachi Murray finished third in 10.16 seconds.
Winning the event marked a great bounce back Amoah who disappointed in the recently ended African Senior Athletics Championships held in Ghana.
Amoah, who won bronze in the Men’s 200 Metre event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, finished fifth at the African Championships.
The veteran sprinter now ranks third on Ghana’s list behind Abdul-Rasheed Saminu (9.84 seconds) and Benjamin Azamati (9.90 seconds).

Saminu lowered Azamati’s mark twice last year to become Ghana’s fastest man ever.
