Black stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante Brandon Thomas-Asante has expressed strong belief in Ghana’s chances ahead of their crucial Group L showdown with England on Tuesday, insisting the Black Stars have what it takes to secure victory.
Ghana kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Panama with Thomas-Asante playing a key role in the build-up to Caleb Yirenkyi’s winning goal.
That result leaves both Ghana and England level on three points in Group L, after the Three Lions recorded a 4-2 victory against Croatia in their opener.

Speaking after Sunday’s training session at Bryant University, the Coventry City forward revealed that the team is fully focused on delivering a strong performance.
“We all want to win, and we believe we can do that. Our aim is to give our very best, put in an excellent performance and show our dedication,” he said.
“We want to give everything for the nation. When the fans come out in their jerseys and face paint, they should know we are out there fighting for them.”
“When we see everyone in the stands with the paint on their face or in their Black Stars jersey, we want them to know we’re out there for them to give everything.” He said
Ghana, led by head coach Carlos Queiroz, will wrap up their Group L fixtures against Croatia as they aim to reach the knockout stage for the first time since their historic quarter-final run at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
