#DONKOMI: Fatawu Issahaku set to undergo medicals ahead of Ipswich move

Black Stars winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is set to undergo medicals later this week ahead of a reported move to Ipswich Town Football Club.

The report links the Leicester City player to an Ipswich Town side that is set to make their English Premier League return after 22 years.

Issahaku starred for Leicester City in the 2025-2026 season despite the Foxes’ getting relegated from the EFL Championship to League One.

22 year old Issahaku registered nine goals and eight assists in 44 games in all competitions and featured in four games with Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to English Sports Broadcaster Ben Jacobs, a fee in the region of £20 million has been agreed between Leicester and Ipswich Town with the move’s success tied to Issahaku’s medicals.

The 2026-2027 EPL season commences on Friday, August 21 with Ipswich Town taking on AFC Sunderland in their opening game on August 22.

Issahaku would be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Black Stars teammate Gideon Mensah who secured a two year deal to FC Koln in the German Bundesliga after the World Cup.
