New Chelsea signing Morgan Rogers says getting the chance to play with one of his best friends is a special thing that he is looking forward to.
He said this to Chelsea media after joining the club for a record fee of 117 million pounds with add-ons from Aston Villa following Rogers’ run with England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup where the Three Lions won bronze.
Speaking after joining the London club, Rogers pointed to playing with Cole Palmer as something that he is looking forward to.
“I’ve known Cole since I was about 14, first in the England [youth] teams and then when we were both at Man City together.”
“We’ve been speaking about this for a while; we always would love to have played together. So, for it to happen, we’re both excited.”
“I can’t wait. I think that’s probably the most special thing, playing with one of your best friends and being around him every day” Rogers said.
