Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian coach Nebojsa Kapor as their new head coach on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The club said Kapor emerged from a recruitment process aimed at restoring Hearts’ domestic success and improving their competitiveness on the continental stage.
Kapor is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having previously coached Tema Youth, Bechem United and Medeama SC.
His experience in the Ghana Premier League, along with his reputation for developing young players and playing attacking football, were key factors in his appointment.
In a statement announcing the move, Hearts expressed confidence in the Serbian’s ability to lead the club forward.
“The Board is confident Coach Kapor has the leadership and technical competence to guide Hearts of Oak into a new era of stability and success,” the club said.
The Phobians have also called on supporters to rally behind Kapor and his technical team as they seek a return to the summit of Ghanaian football and a stronger presence in African competitions.
Kapor takes over after a disappointing season and will be tasked with rebuilding the squad and delivering improved results.
